Niño Turba - Musician and Visual Artist
Hi, my name is Niño and I am a musician and visual artist based in the Netherlands. I play in a band called Lowkey and studied at the Metal Factory in Eindhoven. Since a young age, I have been exposed to various types of music. I started drumming when I was eleven, and when I began listening to rock and metal, I got inspired to pick up the guitar. Playing music has always been something uplifting for me, and being on stage is still one of the best things ever. At some point, I wanted to use my skills to create my own music. My music is a reflection of my observations in the world around me. I love many different kinds of music, but I feel that metal music is the most powerful way to express various emotions. From anger, frustration, and sadness to hope, inspiration, and strength. I create songs about subjects that are important to me, but I also like to leave my songs open to interpretation. Each listener can have their own connection and thoughts about the music.
When I started making music, I also started thinking about how to make my messages even stronger. I decided that I wanted to use visual means to convey my thoughts and emotions more clearly to the listener. This has been an ongoing process of research and learning. At some point, this transition from making videos for myself to making videos for other people happened. Now, I have broadened my horizons by stepping outside the music scene and creating promotional videos and videos for personal events as well. Videography, for me, is a way to tell a story in a different way or to add emotions to something that otherwise can't be achieved. Creating an experience and taking someone on an adventure is what I want to achieve with my videos.
